Five islands hide a grotto behind a waterfall, a mountain crevice or old cistern stairs. Bring a lantern: the underground lakes glow, the cave fish live nowhere else, and stock catches bite a little more often, still inside every cap.
A merchant ship sails from harbor to harbor on its own schedule, carrying rare looks that change with the tide. If it is moored at your island, go aboard.

No. Cozy Fishing is free to play with no wallet or purchase. Start as a guest, then make an explorer account to keep your catches across devices. A wallet is only for turning stock catches into real rewards, and once $COZY launches, holding it is what opens earning and the higher rod and license levels. Fishing, shells, species and the journal stay free without any of it.
Yes, and deliberately small. Stock catches pay real tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain, from a few cents up to a few dollars per catch depending on your stock license, with a daily ceiling of $25 per player that rises as $COZY trading volume grows. Most catches land small. To earn you need a free account, 50 lifetime fish, a linked wallet and, once it launches, a $COZY hold. Claiming one stock at a time costs a network fee of about a cent. Nothing here is financial advice.
By boat. Every island has at least one harbor, and there is no land bridge between them. You start with a rowboat for the nearby waters; sturdier boats from the Port Lumen shipwright, a sailboat and then a steamer, reach the far islands. You can also take a guided voyage. Mountain lakes, the oasis, the city canals and the grottos are fished from the shore once you land.
Rods (16 tiers) unlock new fish and raise how often the market bites: 0.01% on the free rod, 0.35% at tier 2, 0.55% at tier 3, then 3% at tier 4 climbing a point a tier to 15% at the top. Your stock license (10 levels) decides which of the 23 stocks can be on the line and how valuable one catch can be. Past the first step, both cost lifetime fish and shells plus a $COZY hold once the token launches, checked once when you upgrade and never spent. Rods go up to tier 3 for now.
Not really, by design. Auto-cast re-casts for you while the tab is open, but every bite needs your own tap within 1.6 seconds, so an unattended line earns one consolation shell per escape.
Yes. One community and one economy: the same leaderboards, shells and reward ledger, one account wherever you sign in. Up to 1,200 explorers can be out at once, so the sea runs as four parallel waters and you join whichever has room. Only who you see around you is local to your water.
No. Hats, jackets, boats, outfits, companions and rod finishes are style only. The one exception says so on its card: the Tidecutter speed rod makes fish bite 25% sooner. It never changes what bites, your odds or what a catch is worth.
